Roman Reloaded Pushed Back

Shortly after dropping her colorful Hype Williams-directed video for single “Stupid Hoe,” off her upcoming Pink Friday: Roman ReloadedLP, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to announced her sophomore album has been pushed back.

“New Album Date: April 3rd. Pink Friday: ROMAN RELOADED. But have no fear. Tons of suprises before then ;) . Love Always, HB,” Nicki tweeted on Friday (January 20).

Additionally, Nicki Minaj tweeted a couple of her upcoming tour dates, including, “London the 19th-25th. Paris 26th, 27th. Berlin on the 28th. Tokyo: March 1st-4th.”

The Harajuku Barbie is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, which would have been two days before her original street date of Feb. 14. Much like the release date of her 2010 debut album, Pink Friday, which was released on Black Friday, Feb. 14 is one of the music industry’s biggest sales days, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Nicki Nick is also scheduled to take part in Madonna’s Super Bowl performance on Feb. 5, along with M.I.A., which she raps about on “Stupid Hoe.”

Birdman Announces Like Father, Like Son 2

Birdman has announced the release of an upcoming album Like Father, Like Son 2: Tha Last Mob, set to release through Cash Money.

Though details on the album are scarce, Stunna took to Twitter to make the announcement of the project, which serves as the follow-up to 2006′s Like Father, Like Son, his collaborative LP with Lil Wayne.

The album has roots as far back as September 2010, where he said it would drop some time in 2011. But in April 2011, Baby gave an interview where he discussed the potential for the album sequel’s release, projecting that it would release in December 2011.

“We’re looking to do that in December some time, after we all drop our solos albums and go on tour,” explained Birdman. “We have a lot of songs we did before (Wayne) went (to jail), and we’ve been working since he came home. All we’ve got to do is pick. And Wayne likes to be fresh with our music, so we might wait… and just knock out 20 songs right quick and put those on the album.”

Luda Preps for 8th Album

Ludacris has confirmed that his eight album Ludaversal is slated for release in May. Speaking with Billboard.com’s The Juice, Luda said that he’s already collaborated with Usher for the project, but that he’s hoping to surprise listeners with a handful of guests. “Usher is one person that I’ve already worked with,” he says, “and in terms of other artists, you can say that there’s going to be a lot of surprises on here.” Ludacris, who recently released his 1.21 Gigawatts: Back for the First Time mixtape, previously collaborated with Ursh on “Yeah!” and Lil Jon’s “Lovers and Friends.” He further says that the album is “about 40 percent done” and that The Neptunes have produced for the project. “I’ve pretty much collected about 80 percent of the beats that I need and I’ve started writing ideas on them. First I have to love the beat, absolutely love it,” he said, noting that the first single will drop in March. “It’s been a minute since I’ve been away from music, and there is just so much to talk about… So [the album] is mostly about my personal life, my travels, my experiences, rumors, gossip — you know, everything coming together in one.”
