From the grind to the SKYE above…

Skye, a rising singer/songwriter, was born in Brooklyn and raised throughout the tri-state area. He is emerging into the industry with his own style and dynamic of the R&B genre. His career began to flourish at the tender age of 12. After the tragic death of his brother to the pitfalls of street life, Skye was able to transfer his pain into energy and creativity while developing songs and composing music. His pain and strain are evident in the voice in the crooner.To date, Skye has a catalog of over 50 songs written and tracks produced from Jimi Kendrix (Jay-Z, Ashanti), The Heavyweights (Ne-Yo, Rihanna), Grand Staff (Fabolous, Chris Brown, Ryan Leslie) Onree Gill (Alicia Keys, John Mayer),TheBeat Banggahz (Trey Songz, Sisqo), Neek Rusher (Cam’ron) and the Souldiggaz (Beyonce, Missy).

Past accomplishments have include a model feature in the October 2010 issue of Essence magazine and the June 2011 issue of JET, a placement on Jazz artist Lynette Washington’s”Kaleidoscope” album which was Grammy nominated in 2010 and featured/composed lyrics on Hip Hop Legend Heavy D’s upcoming album “Love Opus”. Along with singing background for the Legendary James Brown at the2002 MTV Video Music Awards, he has been placed on numerous mixtapes from such notable DJ’s as: Streetsweepers, Cool Kev, Finesse, Radio, DJ Gooch, PT Spinna and more. Skye’s Myspace page has garnered a large fan base with over 5,000friends, over 70 plays per day and over 50,000 views since late 2005. Also his twitter page has over 6,000 followers and counting. Skye’s talents have not gone unnoticed. Hehas interviews and content present on some of the most respected blog sites in his demographic: Allthatsfab.com and Thebreezyeffect.com in addition to air play on 90.3 FM located in New York City and WWBX 97.1 FM and WBZN 107.3 FM in Maine. The overseas markets, (Netherlands and Germany), has been nothing but receptive to the artist with placements and radio shows. In addition, Skye has garnered interview placements on the following websites: Allthatsfab.com’s “Man of the Week” interview,Necolebitchie.com, and Str8nyc.com.
